A MEISSEN ÉCUELLE, COVER AND STAND painted with gallants and companions, dancers and figures from the Commedia dell'arte after Watteau in landscapes within scroll-moulded cartouches and with flower-sprays, the scroll and branch handles with flower terminals and the cover with carnation finial (minute chip to well of stand, rubbing to gilt rims, very minor flaking to green enamel), blue crossed swords mark to écuelle and stand, circa 1745
