(9 7/8 x 12 1/2 in.), tipped to a mount, matted with a steel-engraved portrait, accomplished in manuscript. A finely engraved calligraphic stock certificate, certifying that Dr. Enoch Edwards is the owner of three shares in the Morris's North American Land Company, the speculative venture whose eventual collapse brought Morris to bankruptcy and debtor's prison.
