A LARGE AND IMPORTANT CARVED AND STAINED OAK DESK AND CHAIR
DESIGNED BY CHARLES ROHLFS, CIRCA 1900
The superstructure of the desk held by two uprights with scroll-carved terminals, fitted with twelve drawers above a row of shelves with six sliding covers, the lower part of the desk with a central drawer flanked by four drawers on either side, with curved moldings, carved with organic scrollwork, with a desk chair en suite, the chair on a swivel base with leather seat cushions, both desk and chair with a green over a red stain, with firm's branded mark--desk 72½in.
