The iron tsuba comprising: a round plate pierced with a Chinese- style table, signed Shoami Yoshihisa, (Iyo Shoami school, circa 1650)--8.2cm. h., 5.75mm. th.; an oval plate carved with a shishi on a table, a Chinese urn, and flowers, with heavy gold nunome details, signed Hioyoshi, (Mito Shoami, circa 1700)--7.9cm. h., 7.4cm. w., 5.5mm. th.; an oval, flat, pipe rim plate, the rim in silver nunome with some on the web (later inlay), (circa 1650)--7.3cm. h., 2.5mm. th.; a round plate with the web carved as a chrysanthemum with dots of dew and gold nunome, (some rubbing), (circa 1700)--8.3cm. h., 4.75mm. th.; an oval plate with pierced design of waves and kiri crest, with gold and silver wire nunome (worn), (circa 1800)--7.5cm. h., 5.75mm. th.; an oval plate pierced with a design of maple leaves and branches with gold nunome (very worn), (circa 1700)--7.1cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; a round plate with raised rope rim, the web with four shakudo ants on a stone ground, (circa 1750)--6.9cm. h., 4mm. th.; a round plate carved with a pine tree and gold nunome ivy plant and bamboo, (circa 1700)--8.5cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; an oval plate carved with a Chinese-style landscape with copper, shakudo, and gold nunome highlights, (circa 1700)--7.6cm. h., 4.5mm. th.
