FOUR TOSA MYOCHIN AKASAKA-STYLE TSUBA

The iron tsuba of openwork design comprising: a round plate with spare decoration of grass and five birds in flight, the rim with slight iron bones and considerable rust areas--7.7cm. h., 7.4cm. w., 5.5mm. th.; a thick plate formed as plum branch, one flower and bud with bare branches in silhouette, the rim with slight iron bones--7.9cm. h., 7.6cm. w., 6.5mm. th.; a thick plate formed as four overlapping circles with scale weight top and bottom, some pitting and rust spots--7.5cm. h., 7.1cm. w., 6.5mm. th.; and a petal-form plate
with six ginger blossoms and birds in flight, the ginger with surface carving, the rim with some running iron bones--7.4cm. h., 7.2cm. w. 5.5mm. th. (4)
