EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1750-1850)
The iron tsuba comprising: a mokko plate carved in high relief and inlaid with Susano-o battling a dragon in a shakudo and gold sea, (slight rust), (circa 1850)--7.9cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; a mokko plate carved and inlaid with grass and a gold cricket, (rust), (circa 1800)--8.2cm. h., 5mm. th.; a mokko plate carved with a boar in grass, with gold accents, (circa 1775)--8.5cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; a mokko plate carved with a seascape and gold nunome fishing nets, (circa 1850)--8.5cm. h., 4mm. th.; a pentagonal mokko plate carved with a landscape, (circa 1775)--8.3cm. h., 3.5mm. th.; an oval plate with two shakudo dragons in high relief, (rust), (circa 1800)--7cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; four wakizashi size plates inlaid with plants, a dog, a bat, and herons, (all with some rust), (circa 1750) (10)
