Decorated on the flat lid in hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with a number of embellishments with a scene of a pavilion by a stream, a folded screen in the interior of the villa applied with gold foil, the 'sticks' of the fan in gold hiramaki-e, the sides decorated in kikko-hanabishi, fitted with ink stone, metal mizuire and lacquer brush- 11 3/4 x 9 7/8 x 2 in.
