The large, rectangular box with rounded corners lacquered in iroe togidashi, hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with a plump cat perched on a riverbank beneath the boughs of a flowering peony, butterflies flying above, the ground roiro-nuri and the interior nashiji, silver mounts- 15 5/8 x 12 1/8 x 4 7/8 in. (39.7 x 30.7 x 12.5 cm.)
