The Property of MICHAEL CHRISTIE ESQ. The following 16 lots are part of the well-known and well-documented collection of silhouettes known as the Christie Collection. Madge Christie (1885-1969) bought her first silhouette at the age of 8 on Brighton Pier and it was a collecting area that fascinated her throughout her life. Her enthusiasm was continued by her son Michael who during the War travelled widely around the country and was able to buy fine examples of known and unknown artists
