A FEDERAL MAHOGANY DOUBLE-CASE SHELF CLOCK
MASSACHUSETTS, 1780-1800

The upper section with a kidney-shaped arched hood surmounted by a brass finial, the conforming glass door opening to a white enameled dial with Roman and Arabic Chapter rings and decorated with enameled green, red, and yellow foliage, on sham ogee bracket feet above a concave mid-molding over a rectangular case above a molded base, on ogee bracket feet (works replaced, minor in-painting to dial)--28in. high, 12 3/4in. wide, 6 3/4in. deep
