A SPANISH RENAISSANCE STYLE WALNUT FALL-FRONT CABINET

The upper section with a pair of frieze drawers mounted with classical busts and centering a coat of arms with putti, the fall-front enclosing an arrangement of small drawers and cabinet doors carved with figures within niches, the base with a pair of lopers carved with putti on horseback over a pair of arcaded doors, the sides similarly carved with borders of classical figures and busts, on recumbent lion feet- 72in.(183cm.) high, 37in.(94cm.) wide, 18½in.(47cm.) deep

This cabinet is nearly identical to a 16th century example commissioned by Emperor Charles X of Spain and now in the Museo di Santa Cruz, Toledo.
