A closely related Brussels tapestry after David Teniers II is in the State Apartments at Schloss Schönbrunn (see K. Schwartz, Schönbrunn, 1983, p. 33). A Brussels tapestry with identical borders and depicting a related rustic scene after Teniers is illustrated in H. Göbel, Tapestries of the Lowlands, n.d. fig. 315. A fragment with virtually identical scenes was offered in these Rooms, 13 January 1993, lot 226.
