Central Greece, Epeiros, Alexander the Molossian (342-330 BC), Silver Stater, 10.5 gms., struck at Taras, Italy, c.334-332 BC, head of Zeus Dodonaios right wearing oak-wreath, rev. /KALEXANDROY[T]OY NEOPTOLEMOY/k either side of vertical thunderbolt, eagle standing left (Vlasto, NC 1926, pl. X, 8; cf BMC 3), several edge bumps and a scrape on Zeus' neck, otherwise very fine and very rare
