The case with arched hood supported on plain columns, arched trunk door, plinth on bracket foot, decorated allover with chinoiseries, the arched dial bearing the signature Wm. Ball Bisceter on the matted center, with lunar ring and pennymoon face, silvered chapter ring, and with black-painted hands with counterpoised seconds hand, subsidiary rings below for months, date and day of week engraved with corresponding mythological figures, the four-pillar rack-striking movement with anchor escapement (adapted, restored)- 84½in.(215cm.) high
