Of oval form, with engine-turned base and sides, the hinged cover boldly chased with scrolling foliage en quatre couleurs on matted ground, the center with an oval cartouche applied with the initials BMA below the insignia of Colombia enclosed by REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA, with foliate scroll thumbpiece, the interior with presentation inscription, marked on interior of base and cover--3 5/8in.(9.3cm.) long
