Of oblong form raised on four scroll supoorts, enammelled with panels of scrolls and folaige within black ruled borders, the base set with a panel of lapis lazuli, the circular dial with Roman numerals enclosed by a gem-set bezel, with 18th century verge movement, flanked by two figures of maidens, their dresses set with gems, one taking pearl eggs from the bird's nest, with two gem set birds, which surmounts the top, 5 1/4in.(13.3cm.) high
