On domed circular base on three turtle feet, the stem formed as a dolphin supporting an enamel nautilus shell painted with mythological scenes, the front applied with a female mask, the hinged silver cover engraved with foliate scrolls and set with a white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and 18th century verge movement signed Joseph Köftler in Wien 1657, surmounted by the cast figure of Poseiden, marked on cover--9 1/2in.(24.1cm.) high
