The elaborately carved sofa with acanthus and scroll carved central crest section with stippled background flanked by diaper, foliate, rope, volute and heart and arrow-carved downswept flanking section centered by downswept foliate-carved supports centered by scrolled arms embellished with deeply carved oak leaves and diaper-work terminating in a cornucopia overflowing with carved fruit, acorns and thistles, the bolection front rail with lotus-leaf borders, on wing and hairy-paw carved front and rear feet--34in. high, 92in. wide, 27¾in. deep

Two related sofas apparently made by the same shop embellished with nearly identical carved cornucopia and legs, are recorded in the Decorative Arts Photographic Collection, Winterthur Museum, no. 74.490.
