Of baluster form with heavy acanthus scroll handles, painted within lobed cartouches, on one side with a Bacchic nymph and putti before a ruin and fountain and on the other with a Priapic herm in a marshy landscape, both reserved against the blue ground within chased gilt foliate scrolls and cornucopiae, the neck and foot similarly gilt, the whole raised on a canted ormolu base and further stepped ebonized wood plinth--41in.
