From the series Vues D'Italie printed by the Manufacture Dufour circa 1825, depicting a continuous scene of a river front villagescape en grisaille with peasants shepherding and boating before a mountainous landscape in the distance, each panel within beaded foliate borders the base with hippocampi flanking a classical vessel on ogee backet feet-each panel approximately 79 1/2in. x 23 1/2in. (20.2cm. x 58.7cm.)

These six panels adapted as a screen are numbers 26-31 inclusive from the series Vues D'Italie as illustrated in O. Nouvel Papiers Peints Panoramiques, 1990, p. 301, fig. 63.
