The present owner of this, the following lot and lots 340 and 341 was a close associate of Brandt's, first meeting the photographer in the 1950s. They remained friendly and professionally connected for the remainder of Brandt's life. The prints were acquired directly from the photographer and have remained in the present owner's collection since.
