Two watercolor drawings of illustrations to David Copperfield, both [London, 1866], both framed, each signed "Phiz" in pencil: (1) Watercolor of the illustration captioned in the book "My magnificent order at the public-house" in Chapter X, 185 x 152mm. (7 1/4 x 6in.), with photocopies pasted to back of frame of two Browne letters (of 1866) stating that this watercolor (and presumably the second one) "were [among 40] made by me expressly for F.W. [?Cousens], Esq."; (2) Watercolor drawing of the illustration captioned in the book "I am the bearer of evil tidings" in Chapter LIV, 185 x 162mm. (7 1/4 x 6 3/8in.)
