STEVENSON, ROBERT LOUIS. A scrapbook formed by Stevenson when a small boy, 16mo, green morocco, gilt borders, marbled edges and endpapers, green morocco gilt pull-off case. On the rectos of 23 leaves (of the notebook's approximately 60 leaves) the young Stevenson has pasted in numerous bookplates, small engravings, printers' marks, and Scottish monograms, crests, etc. On the first page he has printed his name and date in ink: "Robert L. Stevenson 1861" (he would have been age 10 or 11 at the time). Under some 24 of the monograms and crests the name of the particular family (including that of Stevenson) has been written in ink (apparently not by the young Stevenson).
