Lot Essay
'Cotherstone,' a bay colt foaled in 1840 by 'Touchstone' out of 'Emma', was owned by Mr. Bowes and trained by John Scott at Malton. He won the Derby and 2,000 Guineas in 1843 with William Scott up.
