Each on spreading oval base with a die-rolled band of foliate arabesques on stem and rim, above an applied band of beads, the applied bifurcating scroll handles issuing from lion's masks, one engraved with initials, the other retailed by J.E. Caldwell with a coat-of-arms, helm and motto; the ladles Tiffany pattern and engraved with a monogram, marked under bases--9¾in. (24.8cm.) long
