FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. Goodman was closely associated with John Knox; they were jointly pastors at Geneva, and he took part in Coverdale's translation of the Bible. The present work is a violent attack on Queen Mary and government by women in general, and in favour of Wyatt's Rebellion. It was published the same year as Knox's famous tract; both circulated secretly in England. STC 12020 (issue with the final woodcut with Latin and English mottoes)
