Very finely enamelled in delicately shaded famille rose colours with a continuous scene of Chinese court ladies at leisure pursuits in a garden, three conversing, their fans at their sides, as a maid approaches with a silk-wrapped jin, three playing go while a small boy peeks out from two maple trees alongside, three examining a landscape scroll painting, a fishbowl nearby filled with goldfish, one reading a book beside a table made of weathered rock while her companion stretches after her reading and two small boys play with a lotus bloom, the interior rim richly enamelled with a band of pink and blue cell patterns interrupted by panels of still-lifes and ribbon-tied symbols, above a large spray of leafy pink and white peonies and daisies in the center, butterflies hovering near the blooms (very slight wear, one very small area of rim touch up)--15 3/8in. (39.1cm.) diam.
