The formerly rising flat top hood with molded cornice supported on twisted columns with square dial, above the trunk with concave molding and door inset with panels of floral marquetry and oval lenticle, with similarly inlaid plinth and bun feet, the ten inch square dial with silvered chapter ring enclosing a seconds ring and date aperture on matted center and with winged cherub spandrels, bearing the signature Daniel Quare London, the movement with five ringed knopped pillars, renewed anchor escapement striking the hours by means of outside count wheel (case and movement extensively restored)--78in.(198cm.) high
