A pair of similar gueridons, one signed 'Bullock', were sold from Hinton House at Phillips, Bath, 14 June 1993, lot 298. George Bullock's effects were sold by Christie's on 14 May 1819, the year following his death. Among his inventory was listed 'three sets of cast metal crane necks and a center gilt and designed for tripods' (lot 56) and 'a set of cast metal central pillars and branches for tripods, 5 various others, 1 cranes neck and sundrie' (lot 57).
