The shaped oval basin and fluted baluster ewer chased with foliate garlands and borders of stiff foliage within beaded bands, the ewer with beaded foliate scroll handle, marked on base of ewer and rim of basin, also struck with late 19th century Portuguese and French control marks--height of ewer 12½in.(31cm.), length of basin 19in.(48.5cm.)
