Lot Essay

The arms are those of Philips impaling those of Cavendish quarterly with those of Bradshaw, as borne by George Philips of Sedgley and Weston House, Warwickshire, born in 1789, son of Sir George Philips, 1st Bt. He married on November 18, 1819, Sarah Georgiana, daughter of Richard, 2nd Lord Waterpark, and died in 1874.
