Comprising a pair of oval examples, a larger oval example and a pair of circular examples, chased with bands of dentilation, with fluted and beaded double-scroll handles, each side engraved with a Baron's armorials, marked on interiors and one handle -- 15in. Lot Essay

The arms are those of Nathaniel, 2nd Baron Scarsdale, born in 1751. He succeeded to the title on the death of his father in 1804. He married in 1777 Sophia Susanna, 3rd daughter of Edward, Viscount Wentworth, who died in 1782. He married as his second wife Felicite, daughter of Francoise de Watines, in 1798. He died at Kedleston, the family seat, in 1837.
