FIRST EDITION, second issue (first issued the previous year). An important document of the Reformation. Whittingham and Knox, while exiles at Frankfurt, applied to Calvin for his judgment whether Knox should minister to the English exiles according to Genevan use, or whether Horne should use the prayerbook of Edward VI. When the Calvinsts were defeated, Whittingham, Knox and their followers moved to Geneva.
