A LARGE SILVER-GILT AND SHADED ENAMEL PUNCH SET
MAKER'S MARK OF OVCHINNIKOV WITH IMPERIAL WARRANT, MOSCOW, 1898-1908
Comprising a bulbous bratina with interlocking lobed tear-drop panels, containing repoussé and partially enamelled figures of a harpie, an unicorn, a pelican in her piety, a centaur, a peakock, a lion, an eagle and a winged griffin(?) and serpant, on raised foot; together with similarly enamelled ladle; twelve charki with flat shaped ogee handles (one replacement), and a further twelve charkii of bulbous form without handles, all enamelled en-suite, on a presentation stand resting of four bun feet and decorated en-suite, marked under bases-diameter of tray 22 13/16in.
