8° (223 x 146mm). PRINTED ON VELLUM. Printer's device on title, 23 full- and half-page metalcuts, 29 lines within border, capitals illuminated in gold, red and blue, almanac for 1508-1528. 19th-century English blue straight-grained morocco, cover stamped in gilt with neo-Gothic architectural design, spine gilt (slightly rubbed), inner gilt doublures, red watered silk doublures and liners, g.e. Provenance: erroneous inscription on vellum endpaper attributing ownership to Jeanne de France, daughter of Louis XI (1468-1505); Cardiff Castle bookplate.
The seventh edition of the Bourges Hours, the third published by Vostre, according to Bohatta 60. However, this appears to be a variant issue of Lacoste 172/3, with the last four gatherings apparently reset; not in Brunet or Van Praet.
