A QUEEN ANNE INLAID WALNUT DESK-AND-BOOKCASE

In two sections: the upper case with bonnet top and molded pediment centering a baluster turned finial flanked by flame-turned finials above a tympanium centering an inlaid Mariner's star above double arched tombstone panelled doors opening to reveal an elaborate fitted interior the first tier with eight valanced pigeon holes surmounted by arched reserves inlaid with half-Mariner's star's, the second tier with eleven pigeon holes over three valanced pigeon holes flanked by four long pigeon holes all above candle slides; the lower section with rectangular slant-lid opening to reveal an interior centering an central prospect door inlaid with a Mariner's star flanked by pilaster document drawers and four valanced pigeon holes above two tiers of blocked and serpentine short drawers with conforming molding all above a case fitted with four thumbmolded graduated long drawers and molded apron centering a shaped drop pendant, on straight bracket feet, appears to retain original brasses, same loss to pendant--95in. high, 39¾in. wide, 24in. deep
