4° (244 x 178mm). 336 leaves, exclusive of the 12 leaves of the CANON PRINTED ON VELLUM (the final leaf blank). Gothic type, double column, printed in red and black throughout, musical notation. Full-page woodcuts of St.Peter on verso of title and the Crucifixion on verso of fifth vellum leaf, small circular cut of the paschal lamb on verso of the ninth vellum leaf, each with contemporary hand-colouring, 15 large woodcut historiated initials, 2 woodcut floral initials. (Small tears to blank margins of a4, c3, m5, P4 and Q5, i.e. by some leather tabs). Inserted in later blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards (cornerpieces and clasps lacking). Provenance: Passau, monastery of St.Florian (inscription on recto of leaf with Crucifixion); J.Selber (inscription on title).
