2° (402 x 250mm). Imprimatur leaf, title in red and black. Engraved additional title and 84 plates and diagrams only (of 85, lacking "The Setting Dogg & Partridgs"), one with pasted-on overslip, woodcut illustrations. (One diagram shaved with slight loss, one plate holed, a few others with small tears to their margins, some old dampstaining or marginal worming.) Old calf (rebacked and cornered, joints worn). Provenance: W.H.Campbell (armorial bookplate); J.Campbell (inscription, dated 1820).

FIRST EDITION. "Perfect copies are rarely found; the imprimatur, some of the plates of arms, especially the 10th, and the plate of horsemanship inscribed to Sir John Skeffington, are often missing" (Schwerdt). Wing B-3213; Schwerdt I, p.72; Harting 41.
