The forword states of the work, 'Cet idée à été conu par Aubert Parent, Sculpteur, & dessinateur, ancien Pensionnaire du Roi, dont plusieurs sont de sa Composition', and with a postscript in another hand, 'L'auteur demeurre Rue St Jullien le pauvre la premiere porte en entrant pa la Rue de la Bucherie chez le Serrurier au 1er a poste'.
