A COPPER-RED-DECORATED BEVELLED JAR
CHOSON DYNASTY (18TH CENTURY)

Of decagonal form set on a high ring foot and with tall, cylindrical neck ending in a rolled lip, painted in underglaze copper red on the planes of the sides with four double-medallions of stylized plants and on the slanted shoulder with four sections of triple-lappets hanging from a narrow line encircling the neck, covered with a lustrous, greyish white glaze ending at the foot- 8 1/2 in. (21.5 cm.) high, hairline cracks extending from base and some discolored craquelure
