19TH CENTURY, BEARING PUCE VP MONOGRAMS

Both of waisted cylindrical form, painted in the Veuve Perrin style in puce, yellow and grreen and blue with roses and forget-me-nots, one cover inscribed DUVET DE LYS, the other inscribed FOIN COUPE (one with a hairline crack down the side)--2 1/8 (5.3cm.) high, and 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high; together with a Sèvres style gilt-metal mounted snuff box painted with an 18th century street scene, the interior with two chateaux on a lake, framed by roses and garlands (3)
