Of oval form, the face in the form of a rounded surface with inset pierced round eyes, the orbs of concentric circles, beak shaped nose extending to bottom of the face, pierced upturned mouth, semi-circular ears projecting forward, dark brown surface painted with rows and bands of white and red pigment, 16¼in. (41.3cm.) high

Masks of this style come from the coastal zone at the mouth of the Sepik River and Murik lagoon region to the west (see Wardwell, 1971, p. 21, nos. 10, 12).
