Of flattened oval form, relief carved as a stylized human face with raised ridge shaped pierced nose, opposed concentric arcs at the brow, the eyes large concentric oval forms, similar motifs on cheeks, large loop from below nose, white and red pigment, the back of similar design but lacking the nose and pigments, four holes at sides, top and bottom, encrusted dark brown patina, 17½in. (44.5cm.) high
