Lot Essay

The upper half of this drawing was illustrated in American Weekly, Jan. 3, 1937. The top edge of the sheet was originally extended beyond the image and carried the title "M. Dali. Sur-realist Artist at a Night Club," which appears in the illustration and was later removed.
