etching in brown, 1880, on laid paper, a fine, evenly-wiped impression, printed with a delicate veil of tone, first state (of two), signed with the butterfly and inscribed 'imp' in pencil on the tab, several short printer's creases and short, extremely skillfully repaired tears at the top edge, some very pale foxing, otherwise in very good condition
