Lot Essay

Diebenkorn made these forty-one intimate prints between 1963 and 1965. The edition is made up of thirteen bound copies, as above, and twelve unbound portfolios. In addition, of the ten artist's proofs, four of the artist proof copies are bound (as above), two are unbound portfolios and the remaining four are made up of unbound prints on various types of paper and of varying size. A complete set of the forty-one images has never been sold at auction.
