Rectangular, with incurved tapering sides, the back corners with gilt conch shells and moulded and gilt rope rim, the front corners with faux bronze winged putto busts above drapery and tapering gilt guilloches on lobed trefoil feet, the front finely painted in colours wih a bouquet of summer flowers within a gilt feuille-de-choux surround, the sides with single flower sprays (minor wear, some surface cracks and crazing, one leg cracked)--8 7/8in. (25.5cm.) high; 12¼in. (31cm.) wide overall
