Compare the jade plaques of comparable size excavated in the 1950's at the Western Zhou site of Keshengzhuang, Changan County, Shaanxi. See Fengxi fajue baogao, 1955-157, pl. LXXXV:13, p. 125. The motif of the bird depicted in profile can be traced back to a Shang prototype as represented by the jade plaques from Dasikongcun, Anyang, Henan, Kaogu xuebao, 1955:9, pp. 52-7, pls. 10-12; S. Howard Hansford, Chinese Carved Jades, London, 1968, pl. 12:9-12; and others from elsewhere at Anyang, Kaogu xuebao, 1979:1, fig. 74:11, 18, p. 99
