Oval, on spreading oval foot applied with a beaded band, the body engraved with a crest below an applied Greek-key band and similar beaded rim, the foliate scroll loop swinging handles issuing from a maiden's-head enclosed by scrolls and a shell, the domed cover with similar beaded bands and surmounted by a matted helmet finial, marked--length over handles 8 5/8in.
