The comb engraved with panels of foliate scrolls on a reeded ground, the applied gold-nugget border set with three quartz pebbles and enclosing more gold nugget within an oblong nugget cartouche with canted corners, engraved on reverse in script E. Davis, with bead stick pin and catch joined by chain, marked--4 1/2in. long; the stick pins each with spherical finials applied overall with scrolls and with a beaded band, with steel pin; and a typically formed gold nugget
